Founded in New Orleans in 1986, the Young Leadership Council is a non-partisan, non-profit civic organization created to develop leadership through community projects. In 2004, YLC volunteers gave more than 13,103 hours to the organization through YLC projects and activities in the areas of arts and culture, community services, economic development, leadership development, youth education and youth enrichment.
