Building on the success of the last two years the St. Louis region's Young Professionals Collaborative will again share with the region the message, "There are many opportunities for us here in St. Louis." Involved leaders want other young professionals to know that you don't have to leave town to thrive. The leaders in this collaboration are involved in all aspects of civic life, including promoting leadership, professional networking, volunteering for community betterment, and socializing for fun. They want others to join them. The collaborative, facilitated by FOCUS St. Louis, is again planning a month-long program, dubbed "Connect With…". Connect With… is about connecting people with arts and culture, community service, diversity initiatives, professional development, and networking. Beginning with a kick-off event on October 2, Connect With… will include a month of events and programs including wine tastings, networking events, leadership discussions, exhibit openings, happy hours, volunteer opportunities, directed at reaching out to more Young Professionals in the region. New to the effort this year is a one-day leadership conference on October 11 and a Finale Street Party on November 1. Also new are several more partnersâ€â€the St. Louis Young Professionals Collaborative now has more than 45 organizations involved!
