The FEA is one of the leading entrepreneurial support organizations in the country. Fairfield has been named entrepreneurial community of the year in consecutive years in 2003 and 2004 by the National Council of Small Communities and the Kauffman Foundation, and the the Community Vitality Center, respectively. There about 300 active business, social and civic entrepreneurial member in this city of 9,600.
