Taking Time to Celebrate

As NGC's project manager for our new website, I want to acknowledge the folks behind the scenes that helped create our new virtual home. For the last six months we have worked with Planet Propaganda's team on a seemingly endless number of decisions to package our intellectual leadership on the next generation in a fun, engaging, and valuable way.  I'm the kind of person that would often be on to the next project and not taking time to be grateful to the folks for making it happen.  I also think that this is a scale of project that deserves public appreciation, yet seldom gets any.  So thank you to Ben Hirby and Corinne Schmutz for shepherding the website and to Mike Krol, DT, and Zack for problem solving the new identity work.  Joe Schneider was our spectacular project assistant and I think geeked out more than anyone, besides Trent Simon from Planet who worked through all the e-commerce threads and our survey templates.  I'm so glad all of your heads didn't implode.

With this in mind, we had a celebration in the form of za, beer, and Rock Band.    rockband

When was the last time you either publicly thanked folks involved with your success or took time to celebrate?  As next generation leaders and managers, making time for appreciation and celebration is key to continued success.

We do hope you enjoy the new website.  Our staff will be adding new content weekly based on what we learn, observe, and experience.  We hope you will join in the dialogue and that our content provides valuable advice, tools, ideas, and how-to guides for engaging the next generation.

Now onto my next project, the Next Audiences Summit and learning to climb trees.  Thank you Planeteers.
