(Columbus, OH) I keep my writings short. Blogs are perfect for brevity. Even our e-newsletters are short. I believe that if you can’t say it in 250 words, you’re not ready to type Word One. To me, simple is elegant.
Truth is, I’m infatuated with Simplicity. It’s Cecile Andrews fault: I stood in an aisle at Powell’s bookstore (Portland, OR) and read her entire book, The Circle of Simplicity, in three hours in 1998. I was hooked. I immediately started studying more about simplicity. I did a weekend’s worth of workshops on “Simple Living.” I wrote an article that was published in a local coop’s monthly newsletter.
After 8 years, Simplicity is way of being for me. Over the years, some of you have asked about my commitment to Simplicity.
