Keep it Positive

(Atlanta, GA) When Young Professionals of Milwaukee (YPM) was just getting its legs, our president Jeff Sherman challenged us: keep it positive.  No smack talk. No disparaging comments about Laverne & Shilrey’ville. No nodding heads when others made fun of the city. Our generation was going to be a voice for positive change and growth in our city.  And grow we did.  YPM grew to over 4,000 members and recently reorg’d into Fuel Milwaukee.

I’d like to think we grew because we kept it positive.

In nature, plants grow towards the sun.  At home, we gravitate towards friends who energize us…and away from drunk old Uncle Bob.  At work, we avoid the vampires who suck the productivity right out of us.

NGC invites every member of the human race who shares this intention to digg this site, post their thoughts, add to our community, and keep it positive.

You know where I’ll be - facing the sun.
