One of the most likely times for a young person to move is upon graduation. Many of them leave simply because they lack a ‘bridge’ into the community: maybe they don’t have a network of friends and more experienced mentors who can help them secure that first job; maybe they don’t even know the full breadth of employment opportunities available to them.
Hats off to the University of Wisconsin Green Bay for this event! What a great way to connect emerging professionals with young professionals, especially within the multicultural community. Breaking down the ‘town and gown’ divide is becoming more important by the day.
