It’s time to raise the bar in our city, county, and state political circuses. Its time for the next leaders to lead! http://tinyurl.com/standvoterun

How can we further engage the next generation to take a stand, vote, and run for office? How can our YPOs help facilitate this?

Wiser words couldn’t be said!  We do need to take a stand and I think the best way to do so is by learning from the lessons of those young professionals that are already doing this!

I am the publisher of the Collegiate Performance Magazine and in the current issue, we feature Mayor John Tyler Hammons who was elected to office in Muskogee, OK at 19 years of age last year!  In his article in the magazine entitled “All Politics Is Local,” which can be found at http://CollegiatePerformanceMagazine.com, he talks about the importance of getting involved in local politics and then gives a HUGE take-away by sharing the 5 ways to get involved!  (Voting is one great way to voice your opinions!)

The beauty of it is that he is not the only one!  Take a look at Congressman Aaron Schock for example.  His track record is very impressive, the reason we are working on featuring him for his achievements at such a young age.

Molly is exactly right with her message.  It is up to us to take charge.  To learn Mayor Hammons’ 5 lessons on getting involved in local politics, use the promo code “college” for a risk-free 30 day trial membership on go read it.  Better yet, go read all of the articles by our young and incredibly successful contributors.  As much as I would like to give away the article for free right now, if I did, it is likely you wouldn’t ever subscribe to read all of the other powerful lessons in the magazine.

Youth is never an excuse for getting involved…and it’s never too late either!

Thanks for listening!

Kind Regards,

Jeff G

I think that many organizations should include more younger people these days. It gives encouragement to younger minds. Young people are evolving quickly it’s time to take it in consideration.
