Joseph's Top Five Talents: Intellection, Input, Learner, Adaptability, Individualization
The last great book I read: The Pets by Bragi Olafsson. People from Iceland have rather strange minds (that’s a generalization and a compliment).
My favorite meal: mussels in the presence of salty sea breezes. Or, alternately, spaghetti alla carbonara in a dark, hidden-away restaurant in Rome. Food is bettered by appropriate context.
If I had an extra 5 hours every week: I would read those stacks of books that lie abandoned and dusty by my bed. Poor things.
My favorite “Next City”: San Francisco because it is quite likely the most beautiful city in the world.
If I could go anywhere for an entire month: I would go to Portugal. It is a forgotten treasure. I would get lost in the labyrinth of Lisboa, explore small seaside towns, be charmed and well fed in the north.
The one thing I want everyone to know about NGC: we are small but mighty.
The last album I downloaded to my iPod/iPhone: The XX. Wow.
One thing I like about my job: it’s never boring. The tech toys are nice, too.
One wish I have for the next generation: that they continue to move their communities towards being places where diversity of all kinds is accepted and encouraged.
I am energized: by good grammar and sea ditties.
My favorite quote: “a whale-ship was my Yale College and my Harvard.” - Herman Melville (Moby Dick)
