Particpants will walk away understanding their volunteer "sweet spot", concepts on new, unique and location flexible volunteer options available, and tools to help you find the perfect fit!
- Knock 'Em Dead: How to Craft and Deliver Winning Presentations - Whether you're pitching an important new sponsor or delivering the state of the community address, you want your presentations to sizzle; you don't want your audiences to snooze. For the first time ever, Rebecca Ryan - one of the Summit's top-rated speakers - will share her secrets so you can craft winning presentations that differentiate you from others, get your audience's attention, and get results.

Summit Welcome Reception, Welcome to Cincinnati! Fourth Street was once dubbed by Cincinnatians as “Fashionable Fourth Street,” and the McAlpin’s department store was one of its fashionable anchors. You’ll begin your Cincinnati experience at The McAlpin. The McAplin is a great way to experience one of the hallmarks of the city’s urban residential renaissance. Enjoy meeting and mingling with Summit participants while getting acquainted with some of Cincinnati’s favorite cuisine and wine compliments of Gallo.

Bacchanalian Society’s Gathering on Fountain Square - Fountain Square is the heart of Cincinnati. A night of wine, conversation, and charity under the stars in the heart of the city – a uniquely Cincinnati experience.

6:00pm-8:00pm: Join other Summit attendees and area young professionals for a casual evening high above the Ohio River on the Purple People Bridge – a big, purple, pedestrian bridge over which you can walk between the Cincinnati and Kentucky side of Cincinnati USA! This "dutch treat" evening includes dinner options from the grill, Cincinnati’s game – cornhole - and music from a great indie band all high atop the Ohio River overlooking Cincinnati’s spectacular skyline. Dinner costs will range from $8-$12 plus cash bar.
8:00pm-Midnight: After dinner take a stroll back downtown for a night on the town at a local hotspots to see why Cincinnati's urban center rocks OR join us for Paint and Party. A renouned mural artist, will be on hand to help the group create its own mural. Free for Summit registrants, cash bar is available - more details to come.

- Using Social Media to Motivate and Engage: Sarah Robbins wowed the 2008 Summit attendees with her encyclopedic grasp of how to put Web 2.0 technologies to work to engage the next generation. She'll be back in 2009 with case studies on how to use technology effectively in your YPO, whether it's to turn out the vote, drive attendance at monthly events, or simply get more members to use your services

Open Dialogue "Issue" Discussions
- 3-5 discussions: in an effort to make sure YOU get the value from the Summit you're looking for, attendees will have the opportunity to SUGGEST and VOTE on additional issue topics they would like to address with other attendees during our time together. Suggestions and voting will happen on Friday and session topics will be announced Saturday morning.
Noon-1:30pm: Table Topic Lunch
- Saturdays lunch will offer additional networking and conversation opportunities giving attendees the chance to connect with other YPO leaders from their state or peer cities to discuss statewide issues and talent strategies.
1:30-2:30pm: Closing Keynote
w/ Ron Carucci and Josh Epperson
- Our closing keynote will feature Ron Carucci and Josh Epperson authors of Future in-Formation: Choosing a Generative Organizational Life. Ron is also the author of Leadership Divided: What Emerging Leaders Need and What You Might Be Missing. Ron and Josh will which address ways organizations and communities can further leverage the human endeavor toward greater effectiveness and social engagement.
3:00pm-4:00pm:
What's Next?! Taking It Home!
- Its time to gather what you've learned, ask those questions still pending and think about your "next action playbook" so you are ready to hit the ground running when you return home. This general session will discuss the take-a-ways from Summit sessions and next actions YPO leaders can and should apply.
7:00 pm: Stay and celebrate! Cincinnati transforms into
Zinzinnati USA as it hosts America's Oktoberfest, the nation's largest Oktoberfest celebration. Spanning six city blocks, more than half-a-million people converge to eat, sing, mingle, sport lederhosen, take in live German music on 5 stages and enjoy more than 40 food and drink vendors. Summit attendees are invited to the VIP Oktoberfest experience at the HYPE Haus Party! Attendees will enjoy beer sampling, beer tickets, light German fare, a special cash bar, access to private restrooms and reserved seating under the biggest fest tent in Oktoberfest, the Party Zelt, located at the corner of 5th and Race streets.
Admission to HYPE Haus is free to Summit registrants.
