Q: How much should I budget for travel?

A: We'd like to help with the details, so here's our best guess for travel related expenses, ranging from $350 to $900 total, depending on your distance from Indianapolis. 

The highlights on hotel, transportation and food expenses:

  • Hotel rate at The Westin for $119/night + tax = $138.04 per night Airfare expenses can range from $300-$500. Bus travel can range from $10 (Megabus) to $75-$125 Amtrak, depending on your distance and luck.

  • Out of pocket expenses for ground transportation, includes taxi transportation to and from the airport $30-$35, or $70 total.

  • Friday evening meal ($15-35).
