About this event
Until recently, the most critical human resource issue facing our workplaces was Baby Boomer retirement. "How," we wondered, "will we ever replace all those Boomers?"
Today, circumstances have shifted. Boomers are pushing back retirement by an average of four years, creating a whole new set of generational dynamics in the workplace.
In this two-part session, Rebecca Ryan will lead participants in a series of discussions, activities, and lectures, in which they'll learn:
- The characteristics of their own generation, plus its similarities or differences with other generations at work
- An historical perspective of generations in society; "Was the economic collapse predicted, based on the generations alive today?"
- The pain points when generations collide
- The legacy that each generation will (likely) leave on the American workplace
- How teams are using intergenerational collaboration to create more powerful and energized teams
- How "next gen" friendly their workplace is
- The Top 5 Do's and Don'ts for working in an intergenerational team
- The four words that set the tone for unity (or disunity) among generations at work
